Come participate in our New 2018 Meeting format for the Twin Cities ISC2 Chapter.

Our new Board of Directors worked diligently in the fall of 2017 for solicit input from members and to redesign the format of our meetings to increase attendance and participation. The “Battle of the Anti-Viruses/Endpoints!!” topic evolved from an ongoing discussion from previous meetings about the effectiveness (or lack thereof) of traditional Antiviruses’ and how each of the new generation endpoint technologies work. Four vendors have been invited to make short presentations, followed by an in depth technical discussion about this topic.

3:10 Hot Topics in CyberSecurity – quick discussions about recent issues and future Meeting topics
3:20 Overview of AntiVirus/Endpoints and summary of past discussions by our group’s members
3:30 Malwarebytes – focusses on pre-executable process blocking
3:45 Cisco AMP for Endpoints – focusses on sha256 lookups and huge threat cloud
4:00 Cylance – focusses on the use of Artificial Intelligence in AV detection
4:15 Carbon Black – focusses Next Gen AV as well as non-malware attacks
4:30 Technical Discussions/Debates between Members security professionals and Vendors (let the Battles begin! Naturally in a very friendly, professional manner.)
