ISC2 Board of Directors Election 2026 – Candidate Guy Ngambeket, CISSP, NACD.DC
This is for ISC2 the internatial governing body, not ISC2TC the local ISC2 chapter
Hello,
I hope you are doing well. My name is Guy Ngambeket, CISSP, NACD.DC — I am a returning ISC2 Board Director running for re-election. We may already be connected on LinkedIn, in which case I apologise for the duplicate outreach!
ISC2 is at a critical moment, and member participation in this election truly matters. I would be deeply honoured if you could share the message below with your chapter community and encourage your members to vote.
If we are not yet connected, I would love to change that: linkedin.com/in/guyngambeket.
Thank you so much.
——————My Message to ISC2 Community——————————
Dear ISC2 Community,
I hope this message finds you well. As the election approaches, I wanted to reach out to you personally — not with a polished campaign speech, but with a genuine conversation.
My name is Guy Ngambeket. I served on the ISC2 Board as Board Member and Secretary from 2023 to 2025, and I am running for re-election because I believe there is meaningful work still to do for this community.
Over the past few weeks I have had the privilege of speaking with members and chapter leaders from across the world. Some reached out proactively, wanting to know what impact I plan to have if re-elected. Those conversations have been humbling, energising, and a reminder of why this association matters. One theme came through louder than any other: how does ISC2 create meaningful value for chapters, its members and genuinely increase community engagement and value? It is a fair and important question — and one I intend to take directly into the boardroom if re-elected.
Here is what I will bring if you re-elect me.
My professional journey has taken me across all continents, where I have had the privilege of working alongside people from over 150 countries. During my first mandate I engaged with 20+ ISC2 chapters, and I made it a point to bring what I heard in those conversations into every committee and every board deliberation. I will do the same again, with even greater intent.
I will push for certifications and education pathways that reflect the world practitioners are actually operating in today and ensure our members remain relevant in the workforce — where AI is reshaping the threat landscape, where quantum is no longer a distant concern, and where the skills gap continues to widen in communities that need support the most.
I will bring rigorous governance discipline to the board — as someone who holds both CISSP and NACD.DC credentials, I understand both the technical realities our members face and the fiduciary responsibilities the board carries. Members deserve transparency, accountability, and a long-term view from their leadership.
And I will show up — not just during election season, but throughout the mandate. If you have a question, a concern, or an idea, I want to hear it.
I am not asking for a blank endorsement. I am asking you to visit guyngambeket.com, read about my platform (I am also attaching my board profile), and share your thoughts with me. The interactive section of the site exists precisely because I want to know what matters to you before I walk back into that boardroom.
If we are not yet connected on LinkedIn, I would love to change that — please feel free to reach out and connect with me at linkedin.com/in/guyngambeket. I genuinely enjoy meeting members and hearing different perspectives from across our global community.
Voting opens on July 14. If you feel I am the right person for this role, I would be deeply honoured by your vote. And if you know fellow ISC2 members who would benefit from hearing about my candidacy, please share this message — every conversation and every vote counts.
Thank you for being part of this community. It is a privilege to serve it.
Warm regards,
Guy Ngambeket
