What is the Cloud? (Part 1 in a series on Cloud Security, by popular demand!). The meeting will begin with an interactive discussion amongst attendees about public, private and government cloud models. Initial discussions about cloud authentication, 2 factor authentication, cloud malware protection, encryption of data at rest and in transit, which are all topics raised by members in past meetings.
Speaker: To facilitate the rest of the meeting we have invited James Beatty, Security Solutions Architect from Avanade, Inc. James will present his approach to cloud security which includes his top four considerations: Identity & Authentication; Encryption Key Management; Device Management; and the Classification of Data.

February’s Battle of the Anti Viruses was a huge success! Thank you to all that attended and presented! We estimated a combined over 45-50 people attended in person and via the WebEx. We will continue this highly interactive format allowing the attending security professionals to really dig into the technical aspects of these discussions. The meeting is not limited to ISC2 members. Please bring any security minded persons that you think would be interested in this topic.
