August 2024 Joint Chapter Meeting
We are excited to announce that we have chosen our thematic webinar focus for Q3 2024. Up to now, our webinars have focused heavily on technology, but we want to highlight the value of Information Security Program (ISP) maturation and management including how to allocate tight budgets and time for the most impact. Starting in August, this webinar series will be “tuned” to our members’ interests utilizing feedback we receive over the next 3 months. Below are the details for the kickoff session.
Session 1 – Thursday August 22, 2024 at 12 pm ET. This will be a roundtable discussion, and we will be soliciting feedback in real-time (poll questions, free form questions, etc.). The webinar will proceed as follows:
Our Chapter’s VP (Cyrus Patell), and Membership Chair (Roger Vann) will be joined by our Communications Director (Stephen Trinh) as facilitator of the discussion.
In our first session, we will introduce a phenomenal executive CISO coach (Michael Santarcangelo) who has trained between 2K-4K people to get their various ISC2 certifications. Michael now helps cyber leaders (C-Suite, Directors, Managers, etc.) to make successes repeatable, as their organization’s security program matures towards adaptive maturity levels.
Michael will be observing our August and September webinars, so that in October he can present a “bespoken” webinar that will tie our members’ feedback, questions, and suggestions from the August and September sessions together with their strategic plans. The presentation will be based on an effective thought leadership model called “Straight Talk”.
Please feel free to promote the webinar to your members. We ask you to stress that we very much want questions and comments in real-time during the sessions. We will be submitting 1 CPE for attendees who request it, which is why pre-registration will be required.
